Located centrally in the old village, there are many places to eat and drink, a number of galleries exhibiting the work of local artists, a cinema showing current films and a museum close by. The picturesque Valley of Rocks is just a short stroll away, as is the water-powered Cliff Railway to Lynmouth and the esplanade. For walkers, the South West Coast Path, Coleridge Way, Tarka Trail and Two Moors Way are on the doorstep, with other activities like horse riding, cycling and Blue Flag beaches nearby.
